Andy Gale is a five-time CEO with 28 years’ of C-suite experience in a variety of industries. During his 20 years as a CEO, he has led award-winning companies with factories in nine states and three foreign countries. In addition to leading BLD’s financial and accounting functions as CFO, Andy is responsible for the company’s corporate staff and developing the computer systems, business processes and scalable infrastructure to support the aggressive growth plans of the company founder.

From 2009-2017 he was CEO of three private equity-backed metal components companies, serving the nuclear, medical, aerospace and automotive industries, with revenues ranging from $25-62 million. From 1988-2007 Andy worked for North America’s largest manufacturer of high pressure cleaning equipment, progressing from CFO to COO to CEO. During his 10 year tenure as CEO he led the company through several acquisitions and sold the company twice, ultimately growing sales from $32 million to $185 million.

From 1984-1988, Andy started his career in the electronics industry, working in accounting and finance roles. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1984 with a double-major in Accounting and Finance and earned his MBA from Washington State University in 1988. He was a member of Young Presidents’ Organization for 10 years and Vistage for 3 years, served as the President of the Cleaning Equipment Trade Association in 1998, and was named to the Portland Oregon Business Journal’s “Top 40 Under 40” list in 1997. He and his wife JoAnna have eight children and eleven grandchildren.
